Geoff Sadow
Executive Producer & Director

Geoff is an award-winning multimedia journalist, producer and news executive, and Founder/CEO of Whoo-Rah Productions. During his 20 years at ABC News, Geoff rose to the position of Managing Editor and served as a senior member of the team which launched ABC News Now, the first full-time streaming network news channel. Geoff also has produced both long- and short-form content at The Daily, TIME, WorkingNation and the World Science Festival. Geoff has worked with Nobel Laureates, Oscar, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning directors, reporters, and actors and is a proud graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., where he also served as Sports Director of WRSU-FM.

 

Jon Newman
Executive Producer

Jon is co-founder of The Hodges Partnership, a fully integrated strategic communications agency in Richmond, Va. Jon worked on-air and in management at a number of radio and TV news organizations in New Jersey, Tennessee, and Virginia. As the media landscape has changed, Jon’s focus now also includes social and digital media. His blog, Jon’s PR 1.5, chronicles the shift from old world PR pro to the new world of social and digital. He serves as a social media consultant for a number of clients, speaks publicly on the subject, and teaches a class on the topic at VCU. He is a proud graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., where he also served as Sports Director of WRSU-FM.

 

Sue Hovey
Screenwriter and Co-Director

Sue is a veteran sports media journalist and former vice president at ESPN. As executive editor of ESPN The Magazine, she developed the award-winning Body Issue, the signature NEXT franchise, and directed coverage of the NFL, MLB, soccer, motorsports, college basketball and Olympics. She also led ESPN’s cross-platform salute to the 40th anniversary of Title IX in 2012, shining a spotlight on women in sports. After leaving ESPN, Sue co-authored WNBA star Brittney Griner’s memoir, In My Skin, and has collaborated with other female athletes on various projects. A native of New Hampshire, Sue graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Syracuse University and is a lifelong athlete who still plays coed softball and enjoys running in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park.

 

Ted Yasi
Director of Photography

An independent broadcast media professional with four decades of experience, Ted has an extensive resume for creating dramatic cinematic visuals. He is responsible for designing shoots that support impactful storytelling. Respected for his work in the field, both at home and abroad, he has covered numerous events across the globe for ABC News.

 

Neal Bennett
Editor and Photographer

A production veteran with over 25 years of experience in film, television, and video, Neal has done it all before and stays on top of industry trends and technology so he can do it again. He is responsible for engineering the sound and delivering compelling story edits on deadline. A New Jersey native who earned his master’s degree in education from Rutgers in 2019, Neal is an assistant professor in the Rutgers School of Communication and Information.

 

Jim Berman
Consulting Producer/Historian

Jim was the General Manager at WRSU-FM in 1981-82, and along with Jon and Geoff covered the Lady Knights extensively throughout their multi-season run of excellence. While at Rutgers, Jim also was one of the voices for New Jersey Sports Phone in 1981-82. He then got into TV management, and for the last 21 years has been a General Manager at various stations. Since 2010, he has been President and General Manager of what is today known as Dakota News Now (KSFY/KDLT) in Sioux Falls, SD.

Jim's radio play-by-play of the championship game will be immortalized in Rutgers Athletics history.
